Another guest dropped by just now. REAL ONE. An old kawan seusrah. Rich, stylish, the works, husband drives Porsche, house fully loaded to the brim, jewels to the max. The first thing she commented was, kenapa tak buat rumah macam orang sebelah? She just came from next door, surprising me with the fact that she has known my neighbour for years... (Ya, the ceti Benggali who lives off the blood of poor Indian KTM workers, and took 4 long, tortured(me) years to renovate their house).
I felt like slapping her beneath my smile. She said the exact same thing when she came to my two room apartment many years back. Now, looking into my cavernous, echo reflecting 6 room 4 bath house, decorated to the barest minimum, sans shiny kitchen, sans 'kerusi kerawang" sans the "regulation Malaysian home requirements" bla bla bla...she commented the same damn thing, insulted my house and my simple tastes and budget and only stayed for 5 minutes on my only sofa dwarfed by the living room, having spent 2 hours in the "more luxurious" house next door.
Don't you just loathe those kinda "guests"?
Maybe she needs more tazkirah or usrah?
Or maybe someone needs someone who is actually HOME to build us a home?
Or maybe someone thinks that this home will be their final home?
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO VISIT ME AGAIN, WOMAN!!!!
And bringing your kid along to peddle Mary Kay, that American crap to moi?
Don't you know anything about HONOR? SHAME ON YOU TEACHING YOUR KID TO LIVE OFF PEOPLE'S BLOOD. FOR MONEY??
Same goes for that woman living off Iraqi blood money retailing Shell products, and proud of her blood-soaked ringgit and her ability to buy love (other people's husband's love) and babies with it.
I GUESS SOME MEN LOVE 'EM DISHONORABLE WOMEN.
Oh...and I also wanted to bitch slap her when she asked me that famous and most loathesome question..."so keje ape sekarang?"
"...work from home.." I replied, expecting to hear exactly what she said next...
"ish...kesian/sayang/rugi belajar tinggi2, ye..." she shot back.
Anyone of you SOHOs want her address and stand in line to slap her silly?
And what..her kid is a Mary Kay pitcher?
I don't need make-up. Aishwarya needs make-up.
Me, I'm a natural beauty.

Biar dia action and kutuk you puas2..Allah benci orang macam ni! Berlagak sombong and menghina orang lain.
You tunggu lah..nanti dia akan mendapat balasan dia sooner than later!!
Jangan dekat dengan orang macam ni..dia akan insaf bila dah terjatuh betul2!!
mamasita...
orang macam ni tak kutuk...dia insult jer depan2 dengan sopan santun dan lemah lembut...
I'm happy with my house. at least i have a house! Ade rezeki, buat ler cantik2, tak de rezeki, dok ler diam2...dia plak nak ajar I nak buat camner...kite tau ler esok lusa apa nak buat...hahaha
Huhu! I am a SOHO sister. Bring it on!
I got plenty of this too.
*so you tak kerja la...duk kat rumah masak masak jaga anak...sayang belajar tinggi tinggi*
..if only people know how I juggle to get everything done in the course of a day and still allocate some time at the end of the day for blogging and bloghopping, which actually keep me sane :)
but hey! who goes to work in pyjamas?
depa jeles tu sebenornye...hehe!
Yeah Naz...who wants traffic jams, worries about what to wear, office politics and all that crap?
We have the world at our fingertips, woman, with the net! International business from the comfort of our room.
In PJ's too...
Hey, I'm SOHO BOHO too,.. is this the same woman with the RM10,000 handbag?
Steven
BooHoo? nah, it was a 30,000 ringgit handbag..but wasn't her...this one prob has a 100,000 ringgit handbag...hahaha
you have kaya friends..:-)
Steven... I got kaya friends, but I am kayap....hahaha...I don't mix around in their kaya circles, but they come to me when they miss the down-to-earthiness of the slums...hahaha
6 room, 4 bath house...hardly 'slum' status! LOL! Can you yodel with the echo?
I just close one eye or roll my eyes when they flash their flashy stuff at me, but I cannot tahan when they comment about my "earthiness" aka lack of bling..I don't need bling meh...
Cess! Tak sayang mulut punya perempuan... I used to have a friend like that yg keje nak ngutuk I aje just because she's better off than me. I told her off one day on the phone and then she never called me for years! We met up again sometime back and berkawan balik but this time, she's very careful with what she says. Hah! Baru tau langit tinggi rendah!
You should do that to this woman also la...get it over with. She's what I consider TOXIC.
Steven,
By the standards of the other 6 room 4 bath houses here...ie my neighbors...i AM the slum...hahaha...I bought it for investment only (lousy saver)....
I find it funny, that when I was living in a kampung house, i got the same comments...when I got a larger house, I still get comments...why should I live up to their expectations of what it should look like...I like camping on the floor what...hahaha...easier to clean
Next time..say you are into the latest minimalist interior decor, from er...Japan
Minimalist...good idea...but minimalist also costs like a bomb..they always know a pasar malam item or one from Kedai Perabut Taman Permata Ah Chong from the American Accents or other unpronouncable shops...darn!
Hahaha....
My Benggali neighbour was shocked senseless when I moved in without renovations...they spent 4 years or more renovating before they moved in....my other neibour did the same...a very nice lady, but then she died one month or so after moving in...found out she had end stage cancer just as her house was ready after so many years renovating...she didn't even get to use her lovely kitchen...just goes to remind us that we can't take anything with us....just THINGS...berpada2 cukup la...no need to take out a massive loan to renovate..can't afford it, don't get it...right or not? Don't kill yourself trying to get it...
you are right..here today gone tomorrow..better save our souls than our properties.. btw.. you done your portret yet?
Markonah,
Nak tell off susah...membebel kat sini jer la....soemtimes I think depa ni clueless sket...
You know Steven, I wanted to stop this grasscutter I saw walking along the road and take his picture...this man walks about 10 or more km a day to earn a living...so skinny, so polite...really admire his grit...was thinking how a bicycle would ease his job...any old bikes?
next time I see him, I will stop him and take his pic...he was about 10 km away from my house where we sometimes cuts my grass...he walks all the way...
He would make a great potret. I didnt have my camera with me today...!
Ya..! That would be nice..and if you win, you could buy him a bike! Get him to look straight into your camera, no smiling, keep the background plain, no distractions..
send that lady to kapas for shark bait ! ,,,hahaha
PirateKing
His face Steven, is a portrait in hardship...really classic I tell you...all lines, gaunt, but so, so polite!
PirateKing,
will do...keep the sharks hungry!
THen perhaps you can get a full face close up and focus on the eyes...make it tell a story.
Okayyyy...will try...heheh...
Sometimes, Allah hantar org2 mcm ni untuk menguji kesabaran dan keimanan kita.
I say, dgn org2 mcm ni, tak luak dek keji depa, tak idup dek puji depa jugak!
Betui tu Versedanggerik...and the verdict is:
I didn't whack her...only membebel kat sini...fail jugak la tu....hahaha
I just HATED feeling like apologetic that my house wasn't comfortable enough for her... to stay long...she made me feel "lesser" than the neighbour which she stayed for two hours...that upset me....and she kept looking around and comparing what the neighbour did.....questioning me why I didn't do this and that like her...well, even if I had the dough, I definitely have my own style...nothing like the neighbors...!
Sapa tak nak buat dream home, tapi I'm perfectly content dengan apa yang ada so far setakat mampu, and a real friend would be too!
Oh God! next time just serve tea at the front door je lah. No need to come in. After her last slurp, take the cup and say babai :D
Naz...even though I was seething...my dear daughter, ever the hostess, made her tea..and she tak minum...(takut I beli cawan kat flea market kot...hahahah)..diakata dah puas minum kat umah benggali tu (lagi kenyang kot...cantik kan...hahaha)
Ceh..buat rugi daun teh aku jer.
My comment is...
That's the really real reality of live, for some may don't but for some, that's their culture. People tend to reject the "below" level of friends/neighbours/family. Thats why in Islam, the rich (+ who is kind/good/humble etc) always stand in a higher standard as compared to the similar criteria of who is also kind/good/humble etc (but unfortunately poor.
So, we still have time to raise up our wealth and help the Palestinians. Wondering if I could have a lucky life like that but from the Halal sources of income and I am not transformed to be any kind of arrogant person like that.
One Muslim,
true, we are encouraged to seek wealth for ourselves and to help others.
But the Prophet SAW himself was such a simple man but he was still extremely charitable.
We can also help others in may other ways...all the wealth of the Arabs have not helped the Palestinians, apparently. Pity.
